I offer 1:1 psychological support for adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, phobias and fear-based avoidance that may be affecting confidence, well-being or everyday functioning. Difficult experiences can lead to heightened alertness, panic, distress or increasing avoidance of environments that once felt manageable. Trauma recovery work focuses on helping clients better understand these responses while developing practical strategies to regain a greater sense of stability, control and confidence.
EMDR, CBT and evidence-based exposure interventions are used to support recovery from trauma, anxiety and phobias. Treatment focuses on reducing fear, avoidance and distress while helping clients to rebuild confidence and safely re-engage with situations, environments or activities that may feel overwhelming. Where appropriate, real-world strategies may be incorporated to strengthen progress beyond the therapy room to support everyday functioning and improve quality of life.
